Coaching presentation skills is the secret to your success. An incredible speaker would be somebody who makes an excellent first impression. He captivates an audience, and to make people listen to you and your sayings, you should keep their attention by the way you look. Incredible speakers move the audience to make adjustments in their life. You don’t necessary just have to have a talent for speaking. It takes practice.
Practice is the secret. If you’re not finding the opportunities on a daily basis, then you should look for ways of practicing in your community and practicing in training classes.
The biggest obstacle that people face when they’re presenting to a group, besides the fear, is their own self, negative thoughts. Let’s take an example – What if they don’t respond positively to what I’m going to teach them? What if they don’t think I’m the expert? What if I put them to sleep? – All these negative thoughts are obstacles.
If you’re ready to express yourself easily, then you’ll be more likable. When people are more likable, there’s more trust, they’ll get hired. The key factors are likability and the trust. If people are monotone and they’re just talking about their credentials and what they’ve done and how hard they work, that’s completely different than somebody animated and has great gestures and inflection, and shows that they’re likable and trustworthy. That’s the person who’s going to get hired.
People feel your self-confidence, but don’t overcome. If somebody’s too confident, they’re considered aggressive and too sales-like. Or, if somebody’s not confident enough, they’re seen as weak and perhaps, passive and maybe not qualified.
So, it’s that line between being assertive and not aggressive. I call it “appropriately assertive” or “adequate confidence”.
“Successful people do the things that unsuccessful people will not do.”
The fear will always exist, you just have to work on yourself, to be able to overcome when you’re put to test.
Practice and feel comfortable with yourself, and you’ll handle all the audience and the public speakings ever. You never know what life brings in the future. You can only imagine and prepare for it
