End of the World – Or the Beggining of a New Life?

While most of us continue to waste our evenings and weekends away by watching TV, lounging on the couch, shopping at the mall and watching sports the more successful sector is reading books, networking, working on their business and learning.

Imagine if you spent some extra days a year learning a skill or gaining a better understanding of your career you could easily learn enough that could earn a raise or a promotion in one years time! Or even better – start a side business. You have many different options if you do a simple Google search for work from home you will find over 369 million results there are tons of businesses you can work on the side and grow slowly and eventually make enough to allow you to quit your J.O.B. (just over broke). You can also start a simple blog talking about what you love or what your interested in and by consistently adding content you can grow it into a profitable business. There are a lot of solutions all around us, we just have to open our eyes widely, and see what we have, see what we have to see, and then act by what we see.

Spiritually speaking there is no such thing as lack of motive. Motive does not need to be generated because it is the life force itself, and if you’re alive you have plenty of it. There is the possibility, though, of being unable to experience the natural life-flow. Though there are huge changes going on below the surface, to the mind it may seem that “nothing” is happening.

Another reason you could feel a lack of motivation is that you may not yet be able to see what you will be doing-because it doesn’t exist yet. The world is evolving rapidly and new opportunities and forms of expression are constantly being born.So when awareness of motivation fades, let your left brain rest in the quiet. Shift into feeling and directly experiencing the aliveness. Don’t project into the past, future, or positive or negative visions, but merge with what you have now, to experience it and know it personally-that what’s with you in each moment is actually a living part of you. Find a tiny motive rising from your depths-something mundane, close, and simple. Something that comes naturally, the way a child changes from a blue crayon to a red one just because it seems fun. Enjoy following your attention into the process of doing, and seeing how the doing becomes a physical result. And how you feel satisfaction at each stage along the way. And how attention waves away then comes back home to settle and rest, then rises again to flow into another endeavor.

Motivation is directly related to the 50-50 rule. Motivation covers what happens inside individuals in terms of wanting to do something and also what happens outside them as they are influenced by others, circumstances, and environments. When someone is motivating you they are trying to change the strength or direction of your motive energy.

If your trying to get motivated a good place to start is by figuring out what in your life is demotivating you. Remember 50 percent of your motivation comes from outside factors like people, environment, and circumstances. Sometimes you don’t have immediate control over these factors but if you don’t you can work your way out of circumstances that might be demotivating you. The other part of your motivation comes from within. You can immediately start seeing results by learning, changing the way you think, getting healthy, and many more.

Outside factors are alot harder to change in most cases than the internal ones. This doesn’t mean they are impossible are even close, but remember you can’t always change the way other people think or act. The point is to live each day as if it were your last even if you don’t need the extra income then spend the time with your family, friends or volunteer and help those less fortunate. You will never be on your deathbed saying ‘I wish I had just watched more prime time TV I wasted my life!’

If you can’t be yourself, you can’t be anyone else either…
